Qatar Executive has become Bombardier’s newest Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) in Doha, allowing Qatar Airways' corporate jet subsidiary to provide maintenance and repair services for Bombardier Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605 and the manufacturer’s entire Global family of business jets for the Middle East.

The new agreement, signed by Bombardier and Qatar Airways at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, enables the corporate jet operator to perform Line and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) maintenance – and to conduct warranty repairs on aircraft for Bombardier jet owners, effective April 2012.

With this move, Qatar Executive has established itself as the newest Authorised Service Facility in the region, supporting Bombardier Challenger and Global aircraft. The company’s operation is based at Doha International Airport, where it has a state-of-the-art, fully equipped 6,400 sq m maintenance hangar.

Qatar Executive operates a fleet of six wholly owned Bombardier jets, set to progressively expand to meet the growing demand for premium business jet services in the Middle East and globally.  With an average age of only one year, Qatar Executive operates the youngest fleet of corporate jets in the Gulf.

The agreement was signed at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, where Qatar Executive showcased the newest of its three Challenger 605 business jets.

Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker commented: 'We are proud that Bombardier has selected Qatar Executive as an Approved Service Facility for Qatar, the Middle East and neighbouring regions and we look forward to offering exceptional maintenance service and professional expertise to regional Bombardier jet owners and visiting private jet operators.

“With Bombardier and Qatar Executive sharing the same values on high quality standards, customer care, reliability and delivery punctuality, we are confident this partnership will be a success that further cements Qatar’s position as a major aviation and maintenance hub,” added Al Baker.

“Qatar Executive has built its business by flying and maintaining Bombardier business jets and they know our aircraft intimately,” said Éric Martel, president, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialised and Amphibious Aircraft.

“Maintenance and repair services are central to a positive ownership experience, and we are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with Qatar Executive to support the growing base of Bombardier customers in the Middle East region”.
