HORECA’S 19th edition will be held under the theme of ‘Beirut – Capital of Taste’ from March 20 to 23 at Biel, Lebanon.
This year’s edition will include the International Trade Show for the Hospitality & Foodservice Industry, The International Trade show for the Food Industry and Beirut International Wine & Drinks Fair. Presidents of associations and syndicates from the hospitality industry have expressed their support once again for Horeca 2012 and announced new activities and plans to this industry for the coming season.
Joumana Dammous-Salamé, managing director of the event’s organiser Hospitality Services, said that there has been a strong increase in demand for Horeca 2012 and that 90 per cent of the space has been reserved.
“Horeca 2012 will be the occasion for industry professionals from the region to gather under one roof over four days, while they network and find out the latest trends and innovations in the industry,” she said.
The event which saw over 16,000 visitors last year, will host more than 350 exhibitors from France, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Turkey and UAE across four pavilions, Bakery and Pastry, Packaging, Coffee and Tea and Drinks.
Keeping with tradition, more than 200 local and international chefs will compete in the Hospitality Salon Culinaire; consisting of 15 display and Live categories.
Horeca will also conduct an International Food Safety seminar, a seminar for Required Knowledge for Handling and Exporting Food by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, and the annual forum for the Syndicate of Lebanese Food industries.
