Balinese-inspired gardens at the new Palais Namaskar Marrakech

THE Palais Namaskar in Marrakech has set a launch date of April 6, 2012 when it opens as part of the Oetker Collection of ‘Masterpiece’ hotels. An idyllic resort of 41 suites, villas and palaces, Palais Namaskar has been beautifully developed following feng shui principles and lies in a picturesque setting between the Atlas Mountains and the Djebilet Hills. Renowned French-Algerian designer and former associate of Philippe Starck, Imaad Rahmouni and owner and creator Philippe Soulier are behind the exquisite architecture, which blends Oriental and contemporary developments enhanced by subtle Moorish and Andalusian touches.

Palais Namaskar sits amidst 50,000 sq m of scented and manicured Balinese-inspired gardens complemented by cascading waterfalls and lakes; water flows through over 1.5 hectares of Palais Namaskar’s grounds. Accommodation range from Residences, where spacious suites overlook private pools and Jacuzzis, to the more secluded pool villas and entirely enclosed private gardens and heated pools, and the lavish three or four-bedroom Palaces, perfect for friends and family requiring an exclusive space.

Palais Namaskar’s spa has two double treatment rooms with private hammam and four individual cabins with private outdoor terraces. A well-equipped gym with the latest equipment and a one km jogging path surrounding the resort contribute to the exceptional wellbeing and fitness facilities.

Frédéric Picard, general manager of Palais Namaskar, comments: “We are looking forward to welcoming guests to Palais Namaskar, where they will experience exceptional and unrivalled service in the most idyllic of settings. Palais Namaskar is about creating perfect moments and it will be our responsibility to ensure that each guest experiences theirs.”

Palais Namaskar marks the Oetker Collection’s first hotel in Africa and the second to be located outside Europe, following the announcement to open Le Bristol Abu Dhabi in 2013. Rates at Palais Namaskar start from €390 ($516) based on two people sharing a superior room and including breakfast.

Guests booking a stay at Palais Namaskar before April 6, 2012 can take advantage of an opening exclusive offer, which includes room upgrade, VIP amenities, private car transfers, full breakfast served on guests’ private terrace, consultation with a spa therapist and a spa treatment of choice up to the value of €100 ($132).

The opening offer is based on guests booking a minimum of three nights for two people between April 7 and September 30, 2012. Guests booking the opening offer will go into a draw to win an exclusive stay at Palais Namaskar, which includes flights and transfers, a three-night stay in a pool villa with VIP amenities, use of a private spa suite with Jacuzzi and hammam for one afternoon including a one hour massage per person, a dinner in Le Namaskar restaurant and an unforgettable overnight Moroccan desert experience organised by Abercrombie & Kent.
