DANAT Hotels & Resorts (DH&R), the Hotels Management Division of National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels manages a portfolio of four and five star properties in Abu Dhabi including the Danat Al Ain Resort, Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort, Al Raha Beach Hotel, Tilal Liwa Hotel, Sands Hotel and Dhafra Beach Hotel.

The company performed very well in the third and fourth quarter of 2011 recording occupancies over from 2010 with slightly less ADR due to the increase in room supply in Q4.

While leisure continues to remain one of its key markets, DH&R is now looking to tap the Mice potential in the region. This will be further boosted by participating in Mice Trade Shows, creating Mice packages, advertise in various Mice magazines as well as develop a strong focus on guests experience.

The properties across its portfolio will continue its refurbishment programmes. The Al Raha Beach Hotel is entering the new season with a flurry of distinctive new facilities coming online. The main swimming pool and beach will reopen, offering exceptional experience.  The beautifully landscaped gardens, kid’s pool and extended 900 m of private sandy beach will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy both an invigorating and relaxing experience. The hotel’s expansion project is currently approaching its final phase, with all four floors already finished and construction work only inside the building ensuring no disturbance to the guests.

Furthermore, Sands Hotel in Abu Dhabi a 257-room downtown property has been completed the refurbishment of the façade, lobby, new all-day dining La Piazza Restaurant and Harvesters Pub.  Rooms’ renovation are expected to start in Q1 2012 and expected to finish at the end of the year.

The Danat Al Ain Resort has reached a new level of luxury with its newly refurbished rooms, which will cater perfectly for leisure weekenders coming with their families or for business guests coming to conduct meetings. The hotel’s Pearl Ballroom has been renovated with new look and style and can now accommodate up to 1000 for wedding and conferences. The first round of renovations for Danat Al Ain Resort will be completed by Q1 2012 and is being undertaken in stages without any disturbance to the guests.
