Ireland’s exclusive five-star castle Adare Manor has been placed on the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller ‘Gold List of Best Hotels and Resorts in the World’ for 2012. Featuring in Condé Nast Traveller’s ‘Best European Hotels’ category, the hotel was also simultaneously named in the 2012 ‘Platinum List’, which includes properties that have achieved the Condé Nast ‘Gold List’ for five consecutive years.

One of Ireland’s grandest country estates, Adare Manor has been a byword for elegance for over two centuries.
Situated in County Limerick, the 840-acre estate surrounding the manor house consists of sweeping parklands, formal French gardens, magnificent mature trees and the River Maigue, one of Ireland’s best trout rivers.

Luxurious spa treatment rooms, world-class dining facilities, fishing, archery, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding are among the host of estate activities that intrigue the most experienced of travellers.

Popular among golfers, Adare Manor’s championship course has staged the Irish Open three times and is regarded as one of the finest in Ireland. In addition to the main manor house, visitors can stay in townhouses and villas on the grounds.

Adare Manor’s director of marketing Sarah Stuart Trainor says: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious recognition - we strive every day and with every guest to provide the very best hospitality experience in Ireland, and are so pleased to have this recognised by Conde Nast Traveller.

“To also feature on the 2012 Platinum List is a testament to the hard work and dedication the entire staff has put into making Adare Manor what it is today.”

The multi awarding-winning hotel was named Ireland's leading hotel at the World Travel Awards in 2011.
