Last month’s 2011 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, UAE, came to a successful finish as Lewis Hamilton took the cup for McLaren Mercedes.

This year’s Grand Prix season finished in style with one of the world’s biggest names in music, the legendary Paul McCartney, performing for the first time in the Middle East.

As part of the 2011 Yasalam programme, the emirate also welcomed hard rock legends Metallica (pictured above), Britney Spears, Incubus, Jay Sean, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor among others.
