MILLENNIUM Resort Mussanah, part of the Millennium & Copthorne Hotel group, has promoted Amur Al Habsi to sales executive in charge of government business and devised a 12-month training programme for him as part of its mission to invest in local talent.
The young Omani joined the resort earlier this year as a receptionist in the front office but he quickly impressed management with his talent and attitude and recognising his potential, interest and ambition in hospitality management, the hotel decided to promote him and nourish his talent.
Al Habsi began his hospitality career as a bell boy at The Chedi and in housekeeping at the Al Bustan Palace before completing a three-year course in hospitality management at Sunway University College, Malaysia in 2010.
