Robert Rajesh Rozario has been appointed as the new sous chef at the Corp Executive Hotel - Doha Suites. With more than 14 years of experience in the restaurant and luxury hotel industry under his belt, Rozario comes to Qatar from the Coral Beach Resort - Sharjah.
Etihad appoints vice president Eastern US

Etihad Airways has appointed Robbie Mehoke as vice president Eastern US based in the airline’s New York office.
Mehoke began her career with United Airlines as an account manager in San Francisco and Philadelphia. She was then promoted to global account manager in Chicago, where she was responsible for major corporate business.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, she holds a degree from the University of San Francisco and joins Etihad from Cars.com.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced Mohamed Karara as the director of sales and marketing at the Rosewood Corniche Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Karara brings to the role a wealth of experience within luxury hotels across the Middle East, including properties in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, in Egypt, and Amman in Jordan.
Kratschmer joins The Cove Rotana Resort

The Cove Rotana Resort Ras Al Khaimah has appointed Thorsten Kratschmer as its new director of food and beverage. Kratschmer has worked with several luxury hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Germany and the US and has experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry. In his new role, he will be in charge of the entire food and beverage operation at the resort.
Chef Legittimo takes charge at Bussola, The Westin Dubai

The Westin Dubai has welcomed Marco Legittimo as Italian chef de cuisine for Bussola. Bussola started out working in the family’s pasta and pastry factory. He moved to the UAE and has held positions at Il Palazzo in Abu Dhabi, Urbano at Downtown Dubai and most recently as chef de cuisine at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.
Anantara appoints new Bangkok general manager

Anantara Hotels Resorts and Spas has announced the appointment of Melanie Smith as general manager of the new Anantara Bangkok Sathorn. Smith joins Anantara from Eaton Hotel Hong Kong where she most recently held the role of hotel manager. Prior to that she worked as hotel manager for Langham Place Eco Resort and Spa in Koh Lanta, Krabi, as well as holding managerial roles with Crowne Plaza and Star City Hotel in Australia.
New resident manager at Coral Suites Hotel, Fujairah

Coral Hotels & Resorts has promoted Vikram Rai to the position of resident manager at Coral Suites Hotel, Fujairah. Prior to his promotion, Vikram held the post of financial controller at the property. Rai brings to his post 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including postings in Dubai and the Maldives. Prior to joining Coral Hotels & Resorts, he worked for Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels and the One&Only Royal Mirage, both in Dubai.

Rinaldo Boscaro has been recently appointed as cluster director of food and beverage at Cristal Hotels and Resorts. He be responsible for all food and breverage activities both for Cristal Hotel Abu Dhabi and Cristal Salam Hotel, Abu Dhabi, which is due to open in the third quarter of 2011. He was previously director of food and beverage at Yas Island Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi. He has also held positions with hotel chains such as Pan Pacific Hotels in Malaysia, Micronesia and Singapore, Shangri-la Hotel in Thailand, Shangri-La Dingshan and Kerry Centre Hotel in China, Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta in Indonesia, Al Bustan Rotana and Amwaj Rotana in the UAE.
Ramada Downtown Dubai announces new team

Ramada Downtown Dubai announced the appointment of its new management team headed by Dipak Paul (pictured) as general manager and Wael El Behi as executive assistant manager. Paul has worked in India, Kenya, Nepal, Singapore and the Middle East, holding general manager positions with Starwood and IHG. He joined Ramada Downtown Dubai in November 2010 after spending three years in Nairobi where he opened the Crown Plaza Hotel being involved from the project stage.
El Behi was previously with Coral Hotels & Resorts where he held several positions. He joined Suha Hotel Apartments in 2009 as opening general manager and was then with Auris Hotel Management as director of business development.
