Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is showcasing several new additions to its portfolio this month at Arabian Travel Market with the ultra-luxury five star Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh topping its list of properties.

The Al Faisaliah Hotel forms part of the landmark, multi-use Al Faisaliah Center and is ideally situated between King Fahd Highway and Olaya Street, at the heart of Riyadh's prestigious commercial and residential area.

In addition to the array of facilities and services within the centre, the location is convenient to the diplomatic quarter and government offices.

"Our ultra luxury five-star hotel is a technical and architectural masterpiece, coupled with the perfect combination of exceptional quality and matchless personal service combined with a prestigious location," said Rosewood Hotels & Resorts regional vice president Alphy Johnson.

"Every aspect of this urban retreat has been carefully measured to exceed the expectations of the most discerning traveller's needs.

"Al Faisaliah Hotel's 197 rooms and 27 suites are also recognised as the most elegant and spacious in the Kingdom. Our rooms and suites feature individually chosen designer furnishings, extensive imported guest amenities and the latest in-room communications systems.

"Executive floors at Al Faisaliah Hotel, as you will see, are noticeably absent, as the hotel offers only one level of service to our guests: First Class.

"The dedicated personal butler service at the hotel enables guests to direct requests such as laundry, restaurant bookings, courier services, packing and unpacking of luggage or just about anything in the realm of service to one individual who is responsible for their comfort during their stay.

"A concept that is unmatched in the kingdom and receives extensive plaudits from the regular guests of our hotel."

Al Faisaliah offers a myriad of world-class dining experiences to guests, ranging from exceptional luxury to unprecedented quality combined with spectacular views overlooking Riyadh and the hustle and bustle of King Fahd Highway.

The choices are diverse and include both casual and fine dining. The ambience of each restaurant is unique, said Johnson.

Whether it is the Brazilian al-fresco dining on the terrace of Il Terrazzo overlooking the lush plaza, or the tantalizing gourmet seafood fused with a Far Eastern flair in the breathtaking setting of Cristal, Al Faisaliah provides culinary options that would grace any luxury international hotel.

The jewel of Al Faisaliah Hotel's culinary selection is The Globe. Located 875ft high atop the Al Faisaliah Tower sits a visually spectacular geodesic dome - The Globe.

Within its dramatic interior, the restaurant offers diners a stunning backdrop from which to enjoy inventive cuisine and panoramic views of the city. Afterward, savour imported tobaccos in the city's only dedicated cigar lounge. The Globe is so much more than just a restaurant it is an event that is like no other in the Middle East.

"Our guests expect their dining experience to be nothing less than exceptional, and with our team of international chefs at the hotel we are constantly challenging each other to create originality in our menus that will satisfy the most discerning palate," said executive chef Warren Pearson.

Al Faisaliah's Banquet and Conference Center is the first truly multi-purpose facility of its kind, and is continuing to set new standards of quality and service within the kingdom.

Covering an area of almost 50,000 sq ft with a capacity for 4,000 delegates in conference style and 3,300 for banquets, Prince Sultan's Grand Hall is the largest column-free, public space in the kingdom offering delegates uninterrupted views from any location within the hall.

The facility has been designed to accommodate any event large or small, from exhibitions to multi-media conferences, and elaborate wedding ceremonies.

The flexible dividers subdivide the venue into 16 different configurations, enabling the organiser to host large meetings with adjacent breakout meeting rooms.

For organisers looking to develop the largest of elaborate settings, Prince Sultan's Grand Hall's ground floor location and accessibility affords virtually any vehicle access to the hall.

It also boasts some of the finest state-of-the-art sound and projection technology, together with the latest simultaneous interpretation system and sophisticated computer imaging. Global communication through satellite and microwave is also an available option for event organisers.

Adjacent to the grand hall is the magnificent Cristal Ballroom, resplendent with marble finishes, custom woven carpets and spectacular imported crystal chandeliers. It has a seating capacity for up to 750 diners at banquets, and can be divided into two venues for smaller intimate events.

In addition, the three bridal suites and a separate royal entrance punctuate the convenience and prestige of the Banquet and Conference Center.

The centre offers parking for 2,000 cars as well as exclusive and separate vehicle drop off and reception areas for both Prince Sultan's Grand Hall and the Cristal Ballroom.

"No expense has been spared in the development of this magnificent centre," said Alphy Johnson.

"It offers event organisers a true international location that will add kudos to any event."
