THE Best Western International chain of hotels has announced long-term expansion in Oman with plans for its first property in Al Khuwair.
Oman is one of the key destinations the company is looking at for expansion. In the past decades, the nation has seen rapid infrastructural development, especially in Muscat.
The first property is expected to draw visitors from the European market since Oman receives a high percentage of arrivals from Europe. Asian travellers are also a fast growing tourist sector contributing to revenue.
Best Western expects operational expenses to be covered within six months of the property’s opening and that it will provide total return on investment (ROI) within five years.
Al Khuwair is a booming area of new construction sites of not only hotel projects but also offices, condominiums and other commercial buildings.
The company is also exploring the strong possibility of opening at least three more hotels in Oman in the next three years, focusing on Muscat, Salalah and Sohar.
