OMANI national carrier, Oman Air has announced a new offer on flights from the sultanate’s capital of Muscat to the southern city of Salalah.
Running until the end of September 2011, the airline is offering return flights at the special rate of OR51 ($129) - a reduction of up to 20 per cent on the average market fare.
Abdul Razaq Alraisi, Oman Air’s chief commercial officer, announced the offer, saying: “Our move to offer this special rate reflects the dedication of the national carrier towards the community. We are sure many Omanis, as well as residents of the GCC region and tourists from far and wide, will visit Salalah over the coming months and enjoy the verdant beauty of the Dhofar region.
“We anticipate that demand for seats on this route will be very strong, both from Omani families and from visitors from the GCC countries.
“And, because we have convenient connections to 41 destinations worldwide, we also expect to see many visitors from further afield.”
At the end of the offer period, the ticket price and availability will be reviewed in light of the service’s popularity and a decision will be taken on whether to revise the price once again.
