The director of construction and planning in Najaf Province, Iraq, announced recently that a piece of land has been allocated in Najaf Sea to build a new international airport which will be put forward for investment.
The new facility will have two landing areas according to international standards.
It will accommodate domestic flights and those from neighboring countries only.
There are also plans to increase the space of Najaf city by new housing complexes as well as industrial and agricultural projects.
