BAHRAINI national carrier Gulf Air launched a new summer bonanza campaign in association with the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the Bahrain Summer Festival running from July 1 to 31, 2011.
The campaign, being run in cooperation with leading five star hotels in the kingdom, offers residents of GCC countries a chance to splurge in five star luxury in Bahrain at an unbeatable price when they travel with Gulf Air.
For as little as BD 99 ($262) – an all-inclusive fare- customers can enjoy a return flight from either Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat or Riyadh to Bahrain and a one night stay at Sheraton Bahrain hotel, Crowne Plaza hotel, Gulf Hotel, Radisson Blu and Regency InterContinental hotel.
For a little extra at BD135.800 ($360) customers can enjoy the luxury of staying at the Ritz Carlton, Bahrain.
“It’s an exciting time in Bahrain with the return of the annual Bahrain Summer Festival, which has always been a popular event among the GCC residents and, as the national carrier of the kingdom, we are proud to be a part of the festival,” says Gulf Air chief commercial officer Karim Makhlouf.
“Gulf Air is always known for its pioneering traditions having introduced a number of innovative products and services. This year we wanted to offer our customers a more luxurious experience during the Bahrain Summer Festival and so we have joined hands with leading five star hotels in Bahrain to offer a night’s stay along with flights at a very affordable, all-inclusive price.
“We have launched this campaign to encourage more families and friends to visit Bahrain and stay in style while taking part in the summer festival that has lined up some great programmes throughout the month or simply doing some great shopping.”
The airline, which operates daily flights between Bahrain and Beirut, has also changed its flight schedule due to popular demand from its customers.
Effective July 14, there will be one daily flight departing from Bahrain at 11.30 am reaching Beirut at 2.25 pm and departing Beirut at 3.10 pm reaching Bahrain at 5.55 pm. The carrier previously operated a split schedule with flights leaving early morning on certain days and evenings on other days during the week.
The airline will also be using an Airbus 320 to accommodate more passengers instead of the current mixed fleet of A319 and Embraer.
“Since we resumed flights to Beirut last month, we have seen a dramatic increase in bookings; however many of our customers felt that a late morning flight would be more convenient for them to check into hotels on arrival in Beirut and start their business or do shopping,” said area commercial manager Abdulmalik ALSaei.
