More than 60 Civil Defence, quick intervention section, paramedics, police media, traffic police, emergency department and CID officers and 400-plus hotel staff worked together through a full emergency simulation exercise at the Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi.
General manager Michael Sorgenfrey said: “It has been an action packed morning at Grand Millennium Al Wahda, with the Civil Defence and more than 400 hotel staff and guests taking part in a successful emergency drill. It is vital not to underestimate the importance of having a tested operational plan in place in case of an emergency and we are really pleased with the results of this morning’s test.”
