SAFI Airways is on an expansion spree with the launch of its new route to Delhi from Kabul.

As part of the airline’s growth strategy several new routes are expected to be added to the network by the end of the year.

Safi Airways will fly four times a week to Delhi starting on June 16 with the route operated by an Airbus A320-200 with 12 business and 132 economy-class seats.

The ICAO compliant airline’s newly appointed senior management aims at restructuring Safi to achieve further expansion, increased safety standards, improved service and increased productivity along with making it the preferred airline of Afghanistan. New highly-trained crew have also recently been appointed.

COO Michael McTighe said: 'India’s capital has been on our radar for a while now and, with growing demand for this sector, Safi Airways will provide direct access to its passengers between the two hubs.

'Our increased load factor is testament to the great service we provide. Our expansion looks encouraging and we aim to add more destinations in the coming months.'
