EMIRATES has launched an extra weekly flight to the capital of Tunisia, Tunis, in a bid to support the country’s busines class tourism industry. Tunisian tourism suffered after the widespread riots that broke out earlier this year, but it is hoped that this extra flight will offer a boost. From now on, Emirates will offer four flights per week between its home base of Dubai and the city of Tunis. 'Emirates is committed to offering its customers the best travel experience on the market and now customers in Tunisia have even more convenient access to our network of more than110 global destinations,' said Jean Luc Grillet, senior vice president of commercial operations for Africa. Flights to Tunis are operated using an Airbus A330-200 plane, which boasts 237 seats in a three-class configuration. There are 12 first class suites and 42 business class seats. Services depart on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dubai.
