The authentic Bedouin Oasis

ARABIAN Incentive, a Dubai-based destination management company, has opened a new Bedouin-style desert camp in Ras Al Khaimah, the first of its kind in the emirate to offer visitors the chance to explore authentic desert living.

The unique and innovative new concept will enable travellers to take a step back in time and experience a distinctive atmosphere in a peaceful environment away from noise and traffic.

“Our Oasis is for everybody in the UAE. It is only 40 minutes away from Dubai and close to the other emirates,” said Emanuela Petrelli executive manager Arabian Incentive. “Guests from Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah don’t have to drive to Dubai anymore to explore and experience a prestigious evening in the desert.”

Zahed Dalati, operations manager, Arabian Incentive, added: “We put a lot of dedication into the details when we built the camp. We used only traditional material to make this experience unforgettable for our guests. The roofs of the tents are originally made out of goat hair, we use no electricity - only fire or antique gas lights.

“Bedouin tents have been a dwelling-place for Bedouins since the dawn of history and this is exactly want we want to achieve; our guests should be able to feel this history in a very relaxed ambiance.”

The camp is now open to the public Monday and Friday nights, pre-booking is mandatory and visitors will be picked up in 4x4 vehicles from a meeting point.
