THE Empire Hotel & Country Club Brunei is set to make 2011 the year that Brunei’s most luxurious resort will make solid in-roads into the hearts and minds of both travel agents and travellers within the Middle East, with a programme of promotional incentives, packages and awareness campaigns tailored especially for the region.

The promotional and sales push coincides with the establishment of its first representational office within the region, which was opened at the beginning of March and is located in Dubai, UAE.

The Empire Hotel and Country Club is situated by the South China Sea, a short trip away from the world’s oldest rainforests in Borneo, and is one of the finest golf, meeting and spa resorts in the Asia Pacific Region. Catering to many royal and state visitors to Brunei, the hotel provides a unique experience in a 180-hectare tropical garden retreat.

The property features more than 500 spacious rooms including suites and two- and three-bedroom villas, all with large marble bathrooms, balconies and breathtaking views. The exclusive E-Club with full concierge facilities is available for the most discerning traveller and the hotel has many well-equipped meeting and function rooms for a range of events and catered parties.

The Indera Samudra Grand Hall can accommodate up to 1,200 guests for formal dinners and up to 2,500 for cocktail receptions and features the latest audio visual technology.

The Empire has its own cinema complex featuring the latest movie releases, plus a state-of-the-art theatre for live performances and presentations.

Leisure facilities include a lagoon beach and pools, E Kids Club, tennis courts, fully-equipped fitness centres, the Empire Spa and a well established world-class country club with an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Evangeline Imperial, director of sales and marketing, said: “We invite all in the Middle East to escape, invigorate and rejuvenate in the lap of luxury by visiting the Empire Hotel & Country Club in Brunei, a land of pristine nature, rich with ancient royal heritage and authentic Islamic culture and traditions. We offer tasteful opulence in a safe, wholesome and friendly destination. It’s perfect for families, couples, meetings and incentives.”

The Empire Hotel and Country Club Brunei is currently seeking tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents to partner and sign with, in order to further promote the sale of the property among their respective clients within the region. Familiarisation trips, media missions and other promotions are also planned to be conducted within 2011 in order to boost awareness of the property’s unique sales points and services. Additionally, competitive high-value rates will be offered to signed partners, which will then also be privy to additional promotional and special accommodation packages.
