MILLENNIUM & Copthorne Middle East (M&C), in conjunction with Arabian Travel Market, is offering three ‘apprenticeships’ in a once-in-a-lifetime, fast-track career opportunity.

Aspiring hotel professionals will have the choice of applying for one of three separate positions in human resources, sales and marketing and a management traineeship, with each position carrying its own series of tasks to complete.

“The winning candidate for each position will be chosen based on flair, competency and above all commitment to live up to the Millennium & Copthorne brand values,” said Chris Watson, regional head of human resources Middle East & Africa, M&C.

Initially all candidates must register for the programme, by submitting their CV through a dedicated section on the ATM website. In total there are three stages to each position and the first written task is to be completed when submitting their CVs.

Once entries have closed, candidates will receive an email from M&C to confirm whether they have successfully made it through to stage two including the second task. A full list of entry deadlines can be found on the ATM website.

The key areas of the sales manager’s position, involve achieving personal sales targets and contributing to the overall team goals as stated in the annual marketing plan.

The management trainee role is to assist and learn key skills in all the different departments in a hotel and help them in their daily operations.

Under the guidance of the director of human resources, the assistant human resources manager, is responsible for carrying out all transactions related to employee accommodation, transport and visa issues.
