Golden Tulip continues expansion

SO FAR this year Golden Tulip Hospitality group Mena has opened six new properties in the region, expanding its network and bringing the total number of Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn branded properties in the Middle East and North Africa to 47.

Opened in January this year the Tulip Inn Muscat, Oman, is strategically located in the heart of the commercial and business district in Al Khuwair, just 12km from Muscat International Airport.

Tulip Inn Muscat offers 153 rooms in addition to spacious and fully-equipped family apartments and suites making it the perfect home away from home. Facilities on offer include 24-hour room service, conference areas, an executive lounge and a car rental desk.

Amine Moukarzel, senior vice president of Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, Mena Region said: “Our team is very much motivated with regard to the planning of the product itself, which is a stunning one that will serve the needs of guests and aid in the corporate planning of the industry. Not every traveller and company representative wishes to stay in five-star hotels. Hence, in order to complement Golden Tulip’s diverse array of properties and facilities here, we are providing visitors with the opportunity of staying at lower-budget, economy hotels.”

The Golden Tulip Dana Bay – Saudi Arabia, also opened its doors in January located in the Half Moon area and enjoying the longest private golden beach in the Arabian Peninsula, with direct highway access to Dammam, Al Khobar and King Fahd International Airport.

Golden Tulip Dana Bay offers 251 beachfront villas and chalets ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, and exclusive five-bedroom villas with private swimming pool, with fully-equipped kitchens and amenities.

The Resort offers a variety of services and facilities such as a private marina and watersports centre, temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pools, men’s and women’s spas, a children’s daycare centre, a fitness centre and various entertainment including mini golf, tennis, dune buggies, horse riding and special weekend programmes.

A further January launch was the Golden Tulip Khatt Spring – Ras Al Khaimah , UAE, a  130-room resort and spa in the heart of the Arabian countryside located at the foot of the majestic Hajjar Mountains, 10 minutes away from RAK airport and 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport. The property has the only natural hot springs in the UAE and the resort’s facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with views over the mountains, fitness centre, children’s playground and the Khatt Spring Wellness & Spa for women and men which features 14 treatment rooms, hydropools with massage jets, sauna, steam rooms, snail showers and ice grotto and the Harmony Ayuverda Centre offering signature therapies with the natural thermal hot springs.

The Tulip Inn Resort Phebus, Gammarth, Tunisia, opened in February with 120 Rooms and suites, two restaurants, a disco, lobby lounge, indoor pool and spa, beach access, business centre and two meeting rooms.

Most recently, April saw the opening of two Tunisian properties – Golden Tulip Dar Ismail Tabarka, which has stunning views of the mountains and sea and offers a variety of restaurants and bars, leisure and meeting facilities and Tulip Inn Dar Ismail Nour El Ain Draham, located in the heart of the mountains of Kroumirie.

And later, in July, Golden Tulip Hotels Suites and Resorts will open the doors of its 17th property in Saudi Arabia and the first in the holy city of Makkah, the Golden Tulip Dar Al Khalil Makkah.

The massive 576-room property includes 48 suites, smoking and non smoking rooms and disabled rooms.

Its rooms are elegantly outfitted and some overlook the Grand Mosque.
