WITHIN six months’ of opening, the Corp Executive Hotel Deira in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has achieved nearly 60 per cent Saudisation, with 41 out of the total staff team of 70 comprising Saudi nationals.

General manager Akram Shaar said: “We are delighted to have Saudi nationals working in a variety of positions, ranging from kitchen stewards and room attendants through to front office receptionists and bell boys, as well as a strong representation in the sales department and at management level.

“This level of commitment is already contributing to the strong launch of our property, with guests showing their appreciation of a real feeling of Saudi hospitality – and we also welcome the opportunity to provide opportunities in the thriving hospitality industry to those locals who wish to pursue a career in this arena.”

Corp Executive Hotels, a division of Hospitality Management Holdings, launched last year and already has properties in Dubai, Doha and in Riyadh with plans for a further four hotels throughout Saudi Arabia.

“This planned expansion highlights the career potential for Saudi nationals who can achieve the levels of professionalism demonstrated at a Corp hotel,” said Shaar. “Our hotels aim to be the accommodation of choice for discerning business travellers, offering state-of-the-art facilities and the latest technology as well as international levels of efficiency and quality at affordable rates.”
