MIDDLE East aviation is forecast for tremendous growth in the coming years with the Mena hub capacity expected to reach 200 million by 2018 and the high-level meeting of experts at Aviation Outlook Mena aims to examine strategies for the growth and expansion of the region’s aviation industry.

Taking place at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, UAE, from March 14 to 17, the conference will draw insights from senior executives from Emirates, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air, Bahrain Air, Wataniya Airways, Air Arabia and RAK Airways as well as 45 other airlines.

Together they will be looking at ways to identify the most lucrative new routes, formulate access to new markets, maximise profits through ancillary revenue, develop a competitive pricing and marketing strategy, enhance distribution channels and explore partnership opportunities across the region.

Speakers include Peter Hill, CEO of Oman Air, Omar Jahameh, CEO of RAK Airways, Stefan Pichler, CEO of Jazeera Airways, Dr Kajdi Sabri, regional vice president of IATA, Nicola Simionato, head of e-commerce at Gulf Air, Simon Stewart, CEO of Nas Air, and many others.

Topics for discussion will include capturing the corporate travel segment – how to fast track growth, identifying new windows of opportunity for low-cost carriers and creating opportunity and differentiation through social media.

The first day will see the regional and international airlines, airports and regulators come together to discuss the future of aviation in the Mena region. On the second day attendees will hear from regional and international low-cost carriers on how they continue to expand their market share.

And the third day will be a post-conference workshop on ‘How to improve the financial sustainability of the aviation system and enhance profits‘.
