Hotel Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg obtains fifth star

THE Hotel Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg has obtained its 5th star, based on the new French hotel classification.

To earn its fifth star, the hotel had to satisfy new specifications, with more than 200 conditions to fulfill in areas as varied as reception, facilities and service.  This classification, in line with international standards, puts an end to the ‘French exception’, which limited the highest hotel classification to four stars luxury.

Ideally located near top attractions, including the Champs Élysées, Madeleine Church and exclusive Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Hotel Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg has long been a favourite of the fashion elite as well as prominent dignitaries. In 2010, the hotel underwent an extensive refurbishment delivering a new level of luxury and grandeur to the property. From the hotel’s common areas and corridors, to an entirely new landscaped terrace, the renovation touched upon multiple aspects of the guest experience and was overseen by general manager, Véronique Claude.

The refurbishment also unveiled 21 newly redesigned suites as well as a 1075-sq-ft ‘Couture’ apartment by famed designer, Didier Gomez, celebrating the hotel’s history, passion for fashion and esteemed address. Following this year’s enhancements, the property was awarded a five star rating, underscoring its reputation as one of Paris’ top luxury hotels.

The Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg is the 8th Sofitel address to earn its fifth star in France after the Sofitel Paris La Défense, Sofitel Lyon Bellecour, Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port, Sofitel Biarritz Le Miramar Thalassa, Sofitel Porticcio Thalassa, Hotel Scribe Paris and Sofitel Dijon La Cloche.
