Rezidor expands Middle East sales team
The Rezidor Hotel Group announced changes to its team at the global sales office, Dubai. Ersin Manaz (pictured) is promoted to director of sales – leisure and crew and Guru Prashanth joins as regional sales manager. Elie Milky also joins as manager, business development Middle East and Africa.

Sheik appointed at Ramada Ajman
Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman has appointed Imran Sheik as its new sales manager. Sheikh will develop sales strategies, reporting and procedures to increase traffic to the property. He has previously worked with various other hotel groups in the Middle East.

Accor ME appoints key executives
Accor ME has announced the appointment of Tristan Beau DeLomenie (pictured) as general manager hotels (Novotel and ibis in Deira, ibis Rigga, Suitehotel Mall of the Emirates) and Philippe Seguin as vice president, sales and distribution. DeLomenie has previously held posts in Europe, Thailand, China and Indonesia.

Worldhotels has appointed Rochelle Penaflor to the newly created position of business development manager, based in Dubai and in charge of the Mena region. She moves from her previous role as market strategy support specialist with the Jumeirah Group.

The sales team at the Golden Tulip Al Barsha welcomed Marko Muthig as business development manager. Muthig brings experience from various other hotels as well as destination management companies. Before moving to the UAE, he worked onboard an American Cruise Line as well as with international airlines.

Park Hyatt Dubai announced the appointment of Adrian Slater as general manager. He returns to the UAE after 16 years, having previously been banquet sales manager for the Hyatt Regency Dubai. Most recently he headed up special projects at Hyatt International Seoul office, Korea.

Six Senses Spas & Resorts has appointed Godfrey Valentine Vas as general manager of Six Senses Zighy Bay. Vas joined Six Senses in 2005 as resort manager of Soneva Fushi in the Maldives and was most recently general manager of Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam.

Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has announced Christian Nannucci as resident manager. Nannucci joins the hotel from Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, Penang, where he held a similar position for two years.

The Kempinski Hotel Aqaba has appointed Armin Hies as resident manager. Hies joins Kempinksi from the Crowne Plaza Festival City Dubai, where he was hotel manager, and brings with him more than 12 years of hotel management experience.

Hyatt Regency Dubai has announced the appointment of Michael von Siebenthal (pictured) as its new general manager. He has previously held similar positions with Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt. The hotel has also appointed Ann Kang as director of sales.

Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort has appointed Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri as director general. Al Hajeri brings with him many years of management experience within governmental and non-governmental organisations and will lead AWPR’s expansion into an international centre of excellence.

MGM Resorts International announced the promotion of Gamal Aziz to president and CEO of MGM Hospitality. Since the launch in 2008, Aziz has served in dual capacity as head of MGM Hospitality and as president and COO of the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of Emma Corcoran as director, corporate communications, Middle East and Africa. She joins Hilton Worldwide from InterContinental Hotels Group where she was global communications director.

Etihad appoints Crompton
Etihad Airways has appointed Judith Crompton as head of global accounts sales, replacing Jean-Marc Crescent, who has moved into the new role of Etihad Airways regional general manager Europe. She joins Etihad from Qantas Airways, where she held the position of regional general manager, UK and Ireland.
