TOURISM Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has announced that the superstructure of the landmark Westin Hotel & Spa, Abu Dhabi Golf Resort, is now complete and the façade work is underway. The hotel’s remaining surface work is expected to be finished in the second quarter of 2011.
The resort, which is home to the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, is on schedule to be open to the public during the third quarter of 2011 which will allow people to play and enjoy the venue’s facilities. The Westin Hotel & Spa is to represent the hospitality heart of the revamped Abu Dhabi Golf Resort, which is being redeveloped by TDIC.
The hotel will feature a range of 172 premium rooms, luxury suites and a Presidential Suite, all of which will overlook the spectacular course. Other facilities will include meeting and conference amenities for up to 400 guests, a ballroom, a business centre, a fully-equipped gym and spa, leisure and lap pool facilities and indoor and outdoor dining outlets, including a speciality fine- dining experience.
