Ritz-Carlton appoints Humler
The Ritz-Carlton has appointed Herve Humler president and chief operations officer. He will oversee 76 hotels in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. He replaces Simon Cooper who becomes Marriott International’s president and managing director for Asia Pacific.

New role for Jagersbacher
Hilton Worldwide has announced that Rudi Jagersbacher will become area president, operations, Middle East and Africa, effective January 2011 replacing Jean-Paul Herzog, who is retiring after 40 years with the company. Jagersbacher is currently area VP for operations in the Benelux, Nordic and Italy region.

New GM at Radisson Cairo
Ashraf Naguib is the new general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis. Naguib started his career at Heliopolis Sheraton Hotel in Cairo and held managerial roles at various companies before joining Rezidor in 2003. Most recently he was general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Alexandria.

Swieca joins Radisson El Quseir
The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Thomas Swieca as general manager of the Radisson Blu Resort, El Quseir. Having worked with other brands he joined Rezidor in 2005 as general manager of Radisson SAS Media Harbour Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany, his most recent position.

Eve Weatherburn, has taken on the role of vice president marketing for Minor International. She joins from the InterContinental Hotels Group where she most recently held the role of brand director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Suleiman joins Kempinski
Wissam Suleiman has moved to Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates as executive assistant manager. He joined the company in 2004 as part of the opening team of Kempinski Hotel Amman and later was part of the opening teams of the Kempinski Hotels Ishtar – Dead Sea and Aqaba.

The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced Biya Levy as new regional responsible business coordinator for the Middle East. Levy joined Rezidor in 2005 as executive secretary at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City and took on the additional role of responsible business trainer and co-ordinator.

Krikor Kukeyan has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn Kuwait Downtown.
