THRIFTY Car Rental, a franchisee of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, has announced it is upgrading its vehicles with GPS, Bluetooth, touch-screen navigation and convenient USB input in a bid to provide the latest technology to its clientele.

The company will also upgrade its internal reservation software to enhance internal efficiency and reduce customer waiting time. The car rental giant is also upgrading its fleet to 2011 model vehicles.

“We are integrating the latest technology into our existing systems and vehicles to aid our growth in Kuwait in order to keep Thrifty Car Rental the number one choice for customers,” said Amer Adess, managing director, Thrifty Car Rental, Kuwait. “Our technology should be fully upgraded by November this year and will aid in our regional growth strategy.”
In order to implement the highest quality and safety standards for its fleet, the company has partnered with Yusuf Ahmed Al-Ghanim & Sons, among the largest garages in the GCC, for its fleet maintenance.

Thrifty Car Rental was established in Kuwait in 2001 and currently maintains a total of three locations in the state – Palm Beach Hotel, Kuwait International Airport and the downtown area. The company is actively seeking placement at a fourth location in one of the top-rated hotels in Kuwait city.
