Sabre selects TRX to provide new product

SABRE Travel Network presented a sneak preview of its new Sabre Red Business Intelligence product at the NBTA Convention in Houston, US, ahead of its global rollout later this year.

The product will leverage the powerful reporting and data consolidation capabilities of TRX’s industry-leading Traveltrax solution, with the richness of Sabre’s data warehouse which contains real-time transaction information and three years’ worth of historical travel data.

Using the solution, agencies will gain access to the industry’s most comprehensive travel data, an extensive range of graphical dashboards and intuitive reports including deep benchmarking tools that will help them improve their own business performance and provide powerful insights into their clients’ travel programmes. The product is the first of its kind in the market.

Sabre Red Business Intelligence will offer reporting capabilities for both agencies and the corporations they serve. Key capabilities include:

Industry benchmarking – leveraging extensive travel industry data from Sabre’s data warehouse, the new solution will enable agencies to provide higher value consultancy by benchmarking their own business performance and their clients’ against industry standards.

  Agency management and  

 Corporate client management – agencies  can provide corporate clients with easy-to-read reports on spend management, programme management, policy compliance, cost savings, carbon emissions, supplier activity and benchmarking insights.

TRX’s Traveltrax solution is used by more than 10,000 corporations and hundreds of travel agencies around the world. By transforming transaction data into actionable insights, clients have achieved overall travel programme savings of up to 15 per cent and as much as 25 per cent on popular city-pair routes.

Announced in June, Sabre Red is an innovative portfolio of solutions designed to help agencies drive customer loyalty and power business performance.

Sabre plans to expand the reporting capabilities in its new business intelligence product to provide even greater insights into areas such as agency and corporate client productivity, duplicate bookings and credit card and expense data. The company also expects to make the product available to corporations through its GetThere solution in future.
