Bonus for frequent flyers
Gulf Air has introduced a new incentive for its frequent flyer programme members travelling from Bahrain and London who can now redeem their earned miles for excess baggage when departing from Bahrain International Airport or London Heathrow Airport to their respective destinations.
The new facility allows Gulf Air’s frequent flyers to redeem miles for extra baggage in individual blocks of 5 kg, varying from one zone to the next.
Gulf Air’s frequent flyer miles can be redeemed at any time and are awarded based on the booking class and the number of miles flown, which are listed on gulfair.com.

Kingfisher code shares with BA
Kingfisher Airlines and British Airways have started codesharing on each other’s flights across India, Sri Lanka, the UK and continental Europe following Kingfisher’s acceptance of an invitation to join the Oneworld Alliance earlier this year.
Kingfisher Airlines’ code will be placed on nine British Airways’ routes from Heathrow to the UK regions and continental Europe while British Airways’ code will be placed on 11 domestic Indian routes and one route to Sri Lanka operated by Kingfisher Airlines. This is the first time that British Airways has codeshared with an Indian airline. The guests of each airline will be able to book their whole journey on each other’s websites, earn frequent flyer points on the codeshare routes and gain access to each other’s airport lounges.
