IN JANUARY 2011 Blossom Japan arrives in Tokyo, giving the industry access to the lucrative but hard-to-penetrate Japanese market. The event will facilitate one-to-one business meetings between luxury travel suppliers and exceptional luxury travel buyers.
Blossom Japan will focus on the inbound and outbound market of Japan and, with this in mind, invitations have been extended to both international and Japanese exhibitors, buyers and media.
Silversea, Orient-Express Hotels Trains & Cruises, Aqua Expeditions, Hotel Tsuruga Group and Shanti Maurice, A Nira Resort are amongst the latest exhibitors to have signed up for the opportunity to meet with the luxury travel buyers and unique lifestyle providers that serve the Japanese high-net-worth market.
Multi-award winning Silversea, caters to the discerning traveller’s love of unusual destinations and authentic cultural experiences. It provides Japanese menus as well as Japanese speaking staff and representatives will attend the inaugural event to meet with new buyers, not only travel companies but also companies who have active and affluent customers.
Organiser Lucioles will host 200 of the top travel arrangers from around the world to participate in the Blossom Japan buyer programme and, due to the exclusivity of the programme, Lucioles has allocated limited places for luxury buyers from each region worldwide. Qualification is based on meeting the strict programme criteria, with wait lists already in place for Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, India, Canada, the US and Russia. Private Concierge, one of the top buyers from Japan will attend Blossom Japan to study products from different destinations and develop a relationship of trust with selected suppliers.
“We would like to meet with suppliers who offer personal and unforgettable experiences and who can take care of our clients in the same way that we do. We expect to meet suppliers who can teach us and discuss with us what would be the best for our clients,” said owners Ayako and Ayumi.
Blossom Japan will commence with a full day conference followed by a three-day exhibition at the Tokyo International Forum centrally located in Ginza. Social events are being planned each night to facilitate further networking opportunities for everyone. One free day in Tokyo is also included in the package to allow participants to experience the best that Tokyo and the surrounding regions have to offer.
