Dubai based Nakheel Properties has re-launched the $680 million Palm Gateway Beachfront Development. The project, which was put on hold in 2009 due to the financial crisis, is currently expected to be completed by mid-2019. Currently, the client is expecting bids for the main construction contract to arrive in late June. Nakheel Properties has also appointed Marcai Design Limited to carry out the structural concept design, design management and design reviews for the monorail station, parking, residential and commercial facilities. Taisei Corporation was involved in the construction works of the car park podium, while NSCC Middle East was responsible for the pilling works on the site. Atkins was involved in the calculations of domestic cold water pipe sizing, water heater sizing, drainage pipe sizing, and rain water pipe sizing calculations and checking of the drawings. Delmatic Arabia FZCO was appointed as the sub-contractor for the project to supply their Delmatic system control which involves lighting through the front of the house and back of house areas of the Gateway building. The Palm Gateway Beachfront includes the following: · Towers (3 units)
