Ovolo Southside in Hong Kong is offering 1,000 premium hotel rooms for just HK$945 ($120), up to 50% off of regular room rates, per night to celebrate the lifting of the Covid mandate on March 1.
A portion of sales is going to the local charity Love 21 Foundation.
The 1,000 premium rooms available include the spacious Work-In Work-Out, Long Loft, Corner Deluxe, and Family & Friends rooms, which are inclusive of Signature Ovolo Perks such as 24-hour gym access, all-day snacks, free loot bag, superspeed Wi-Fi, in-room or dine in breakfast from Kömune, social happy hour and more. Bookings are valid from now until 31 December 2023 and can be used any time of year with no limits.
Ovolo Hotels have also pledged 50% of the revenue from the first 200 rooms booked to the Love 21 Foundation, a local charity which works with Hong Kong’s Down Syndrome and Autistic community, many of whom were recently affected by a severe shelter fire. This campaign will raise nearly HK$100,000 which will provide financial support to Love 21 as they rebuild their home.
The group also started the much-needed Homecoming Project, an initiative that supported returning Hong Kongers in need with HK$1-night rooms to help them return to their loved ones. Over 40 people in need were able to return to Hong Kong, totalling over 430 room nights.
Ovolo Southside is located in the culturally rich neighbourhood of Wong Chuk Hang. The spacious, industrial-chic light-filled rooms offer stunning mountain vistas and magnificent sea views of Deep Water Bay and beyond. Kömune, the in-house restaurant, boasts a brand new Mediterranean-inspired menu featuring flavourful vegetarian dishes which showcase authentic, high-quality ingredients from the coastal regions. The restaurant is on the 4th floor and has an expansive sun-drenched terrace, making it the perfect relaxed setting for all-day alfresco dining.
The award-winning designer hotel collection is considered an industry trailblazer for elevating mandatory quarantine to a pleasant and restorative experience for its guests. Both Ovolo Central and Ovolo Southside served as quarantine hotels for nearly 2 years accommodating a total of 11,000 people returning to Hong Kong.
Founder and Executive Chairman Girish Jhunjhnuwala said: "Ovolo is finally celebrating no restrictions in Hong Kong! After 945 days of quarantine, restrictions, travel bans and mask mandate, I celebrate our freedom in Hong Kong. Ovolo believes in giving back to the local community. After the success of The Homecoming Project, our mission with this campaign is to do everything we can to support Love 21 Foundation - a charity that has recently lost its' centre to a fire." – TradeArabia News Service
