Beverly Hills, the epitome of luxury travel, is pulsating with fresh energy in 2024. Celebrating its 110th year, the city, located in Los Angeles County, California, is attracting discerning travellers from the Middle East with a vibrant new mix of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.

Julie Wagner, CEO of the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau (BHCVB), recently met with key partners in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait to strengthen ties and showcase the walkable 5.71-square-mile luxury city’s ongoing transformation.

“We’re welcoming over 30 new shopping, dining, and cultural experiences this year. Notably, Chef Daniel Boulud is opening Café Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Residences, and Marea from New York City has chosen our beautiful city for its second U.S. location,” Wagner tells us. “Additionally, Saks Fifth Avenue has unveiled a stunning new concept in the former Barneys New York building, while the pool area at The Beverly Hills Hotel – known affectionately as the Pink Palace – has been transformed into the gorgeous Diorivera, with Dior’s gorgeous new coral Toile de Jouey Soleil print. These are just a few of the experiences we’re looking forward to sharing with visitors this summer. There’s a lot to be excited about!”

The hospitality scene continues to thrive. L’Ermitage Beverly Hills is undergoing a beautiful redesign, complete with a new coastal Italian restaurant. The Beverly Wilshire is refining its spa and meeting rooms, while the Mandarin Oriental Residences and upcoming Rosewood Residences offer sophisticated living options.

Later this year, Gravitas, an exclusive club with curated amenities and culinary experiences, will debut. The most anticipated development, One Beverly Hills, is slated for completion in 2027. This 17.5-acre site by Lord Norman Foster will feature a luxurious Aman hotel and residences, an Aman Club, and botanical gardens.

Art lovers won’t be disappointed. The Gagosian gallery showcases an exhibition of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s works, while an outdoor installation by Mr. Brainwash adorns Rodeo Drive. Visitors can also explore the Mr. Brainwash Museum and a collection of public sculptures throughout the city.

Beverly Hills prides itself on offering a secure and welcoming environment for Middle Eastern travellers. Hotels, restaurants, and retail destinations cater to Arab guests with Arabic-speaking staff, halal dining options, spacious accommodations, and personalized shopping experiences.

“When it comes to travelling, safety is paramount. Beverly Hills maintains a secure environment that ensures visitors feel completely at ease. Dedicated security measures and a vigilant police presence allows guests to explore and enjoy their stay with absolute peace of mind, enhancing their overall experience.

“We collaborate closely with the local tourism and hospitality sectors to meet the unique needs of Arab visitors. Regular visits to the region allow us to understand their expectations first-hand, enabling us to continually evolve our offerings to create a comfortable and desirable atmosphere.”

For years, Beverly Hills has cultivated strong partnerships with key players in the Middle Eastern travel industry. This includes regular market visits, participation in regional travel fairs, familiarization trips for travel agents, and targeted marketing campaigns. These efforts continue to pay off as the premier travel destination – a charming, walkable city with a village-like atmosphere – remains a top choice for Middle Eastern luxury travellers.
