Indian master chef Sadab Qureshi has joined Rangoli, Yas Island Rotana leading the operations in the acclaimed South-Asian restaurant known for their delicious food, slick service and comfortable ambience.
Chef Qureshi will be leading the first of free Community Cooking Classes taking place at Yas Island Rotana, that will hope to inspire and unlock the inner home-cook in everyone, happening every month at the hotel.
Chef Qureshi’s career in culinary began after high school, in a small-time restaurant in the northern provinces of Lucknow, India in 2000.
Starting humbly from the ranks of Commis Chef, he showed great passion for robust flavours and spices, and displayed the ability to beautifully balance flavour profiles in South-Asian cuisine.
His flair for cooking gained international prominence as he worked his way up from Delhi to Dubai in 2007.
Although this progression was great for his career, he wanted to dive deeper into the craft of Indian cuisine, so he revisited New Delhi in 2010, returning to Abu Dhabi in 2012 equipped with adept knowledge of the delicious cuisine.
Satisfied at the time with this professional hiatus, he returned to his motherland to work the next five years in senior kitchen positions for acclaimed hotel names including Westin Hotel and Taj Lands End.
During his two decades of service in the industry, he was awarded various distinctions that include HACCP certifications, acknowledgement for his duties in the Westin Hotel, where he arranged and managed four types of food festivals (Awadhi, Rajasthan, Punjab & Kashmiri) in March 2016, and has also undergone the Basic Food Hygiene Training Course conducted by TUV Middle East in Dubai in 2007.
Excited to showcase his flair for Indian Cuisine, Chef Qureshi will be leading the operations of the Rangoli floors and the kitchen to continue to elevate the great name that Rangoli has built for themselves through their delectable offers in food and beverage and comfort in service and ambience.
For those looking to channel and master their inner-home cook, Chef Qureshi will be conducting the first free monthly Community Cooking Class at Rangoli. This class invites anyone and everyone who is passionate about cooking and seeks to get an insight of flavour balance in Indian cuisine, as well as go through tutorials on simple cooking execution to improve the overall presentation and flavour profile on meals and courses of various sizes.
The cooking classes will be conducted at different outlets within the Yas Island Rotana Hotel every month, featuring different chefs.-- TradeArabia News Service
