Sun Siyam Group and its Founder & Chairman, Ahmed Siyam, earned top honours at the Global Peace Hospitality Summit & Awards 2025 in Dubai.

Hosted by the Global Peace Institute (UK) in collaboration with Impact Hub UAE, the summit gathered more than 200 leaders and delegates from over 46 nations under the theme “Peace Through Hospitality.”

Siyam received three of the evening’s highest distinctions, including the Golden Sail of Distinction and two Lifetime Achievement Awards for Hospitality & Service Excellence and Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation, the only recipient to receive all three prestigious accolades.

The awards celebrated Siyam’s pioneering contributions to transforming the Maldives into a world-class tourism destination and his decades-long commitment to national development, philanthropy, and youth empowerment. His leadership continues to inspire how business, sustainability, and social progress can coexist to create meaningful impact.

Alongside these individual accolades, Sun Siyam was recognised with six major awards across its portfolio, further cementing its position as a global leader in peace-led hospitality and sustainable luxury.

Among the six resort recognitions were:

  • Siyam World Maldives – World’s Leading Lifestyle Resort
  • Sun Siyam Pasikudah, Sri Lanka – Luxury Beachfront Retreat of the Year
  • Sun Siyam Vilu Reef – Peaceful Indulgence Award
  • Sun Siyam Iru Fushi – Luxury Peace Retreat
  • Sun Siyam Iru Veli – Maldives’ Leading All-Inclusive Luxury Resort
  • Sun Siyam Olhuveli – Indian Ocean’s Leading Family Lifestyle Resort

Joining Siyam were his wife Soukayna Hadfi, Vice President of Operations Abdulla Thamheed, and Assistant Group General Manager & Sun Siyam Olhuveli General Manager, Hassan Adil, together with members of the brand’s Middle East sales and PR representation team, proudly showcasing the spirit of Maldivian hospitality.

The event also marked the launch of the Golden Wing of Peace Movement, a new global initiative uniting leaders, creators, and institutions around conscious leadership and community-focused business.

The gala featured two Wings of Harmony fashion showcases by Egyptian designer Nadine Ellithy, symbolising compassion, culture, and creativity as universal elements of peace, and a keynote by General Dr. Mohammed Al Shamsi, who emphasised the UAE’s growing role as a global beacon of coexistence.

The Global Peace Institute (UK), an independent non-profit promoting global peace, diplomacy, and education, has previously held successful summits in London, Scotland, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its Dubai edition underscored the growing intersection between hospitality and conscious leadership.

For Sun Siyam, these honours affirm a journey rooted in Maldivian spirit, mindful luxury, and purposeful hospitality. They mark another milestone in a legacy of welcome, integrity, and global connection. -TradeArabia News Service
