Total incentive destination

Le Royal Meridien hotel in Bahrain will launch a range of themed packages targeting the business and MICE sector this year.

The packages, which will be promoted both regionally and on the wider international market, are part of plans to develop the hotel as a business and leisure destination at the same time.

The hotel has got it all in one place to develop as an incentive destination.

"We want to develop the hotel simultaneously as a business and leisure destination, taking full advantage of the multi-faceted facilities of the resort," said marketing manager Marie Perret.

"At the end of the day, this hotel has got it all in ONE, ideally placed to develop as an incentive destination.

"Our mission remains to exceed their expectations at every level."

She said Le Royal Meridien takes part in an active calendar of exhibitions in all key markets of the world.

"At AIBTM, as with other exhibitions, we aim to extend by awareness, build relationships and of course secure business," said Perret.

She said Bahrain has much to offer meetings and exhibitions planners and new projects in the pipeline such as the islands project, more deluxe hotels, a grand prix motor racing circuit, another golf course, refurbishment of the airport with a world class duty free will increase the island's attraction as a MICE destination.

Bahrain is already a business and finance hub in the region with developed infrastructure and business and leisure facilities and a strong focus on traditional activities.

"Let's not forget that this is also what makes us stronger in the Gulf in terms of tourism: We preserve our traditions," said Perret.

The hotel offers top of the line conference and banqueting facilities with a large selection of rooms suitable for every occasion, be it an intimate dinner party or cocktails for more than a thousand guests.

All function rooms are "stunningly appointed and fully equipped with the latest technology and the hotel's business centre can provide any assistance required by guests".

The hotel offers a choice of six conference venues - from the business centre with a capacity of eight people to a boardroom which can accommodate 40.

Its three banquet halls - Al Ghazal, Al Noor and Grand Foyer - can offer space to accommodate between 750 to 1,500 people.

Bahrain's only five-star beach-front hotel, Le Royal Meridien offers a comprehensive range of leisure facilities including a 600-metre private beach, a private island, Royal Spa, state-of-the-art fitness centre, sports, marina and a selection of designer boutiques.
