The World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) has completed the first milestone of Tourism House Brussels, a new initiative aimed at strengthening links between the global tourism industry and European institutions.
Located in Brussels, the platform is designed to serve as a
hub connecting governments, tourism boards, international organisations,
investors, private-sector leaders and policymakers with the European Union and
the wider European stakeholder community.
Developed as a strategic WTFI initiative, Tourism House
seeks to promote international cooperation, facilitate dialogue, support
tourism investment and build stronger institutional partnerships to drive
sustainable tourism growth.
The initiative is built around five strategic pillars:
tourism diplomacy, strategic partnerships, investment facilitation, destination
promotion, and knowledge and policy exchange.
Through these priorities, Tourism House aims to foster
collaboration between public and private stakeholders while enhancing the
visibility of destinations and tourism projects across Europe and beyond.
Envisioned as a centre for tourism diplomacy, the platform
will provide a permanent meeting point where stakeholders from across the world
can engage with European institutions, establish cross-border partnerships and
strengthen long-term international cooperation.
The project also aims to expand collaboration beyond Europe
by supporting institutional engagement, networking opportunities and investment
links between destinations, tourism organisations and the private sector.
Following six months of planning and development, Tourism
House has completed its first phase and is scheduled to officially
welcome partners and visitors from November 1, 2026.
Commenting on the milestone, WTFI said: "Tourism House
is more than a physical location—it is a gateway connecting the global tourism
ecosystem with Europe's institutional landscape. Our vision is to create a
platform where ideas become partnerships, partnerships become investments, and
cooperation creates lasting impact for destinations around the world." -TradeArabia News Service
