Radek…adding value

Bahrain’s Ramada Hotel has not only undergone a refurbishment but manager Hans Radek has also come up with some valuable additions to help guests beat the financial blues. He explained what’s been happening to TTN.

I understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment, what stage is this now at?

All our 119 rooms, Le Rendezevous conference room and Le Jardin our main restaurant have undergone refurbishment which concluded in 2009.

What has this entailed, have the rooms been upgraded and what differences can guests expect to see?

To help guests counter the recession and the tough financial market situation, where every penny saved is a penny earned, we have focused largely on value-addition to the rooms – we have added duvet spreads on all beds, free tea / coffee making facilities in all rooms, a free large bottle of water, replaced everyday, in all rooms, state-of-the-art personnel electronic safes.

Very soon all rooms will have brand new  modern LCD televisions and be equipped with individual irons and ironing boards.

Furthermore the Le Jardin restaurant has almost doubled in size and, with its smart new bistro look, appears as promised bigger, better and brighter.

Is the refurb now finished or is there more to come?

We strongly believe in regular up-grades on all fronts, during 2010 we will be investing heavily in upgrading our trend-setting free wireless internet access in all rooms and lobby to enhance seamless connectivity to our valued guests.

Are there any future expansion plans and if so what will these entail?

We are in the tendering stage of our lobby renovation and entrance façade upgrade during which the lobby, our front desk, sales, administration and reservation offices will be completely renovated and relocated, a new lobby café will be added to make the lobby more contemporary and perhaps like our Le Jardin restaurant bigger, better and brighter.

And what’s coming up for the future at Ramada do you have any special promotions in the pipeline?

Our main dining outlets the Le Jardin restaurant and the Exchange Restaurant and Pub have monthly promotions – presently we have the Celebrate Spring promotion which features our successful burger promotion, followed by German Wunderbar – our German food festival and our annual speciality during the Formula One 2010 race week – ‘A-week-at-the-races’ which offers a mix of specialties from around all the F1 race circuits in the world.

This will be followed by our Enjoy FIFA World Cup 2010 promotion at the Exchange which will screen all World Cup 2010 matches on our numerous wall mounted LCD televisions.

Guests will also be able to enjoy the games outdoors on our Oasis pool deck which is a smoking area.

Special World Cup 2010 Zakumi T-shirts are already on sale to build up to this football extravaganza during which we have some very cool competitions and gifts on offer to  keep everyone involved and kicking.
