Thrifty Car Rental is predicting an increase in value spending across the UAE this year.
“Over the past few months, Dubai has emerged into an affordable holiday destination, and an increasing number of travellers will take advantage of this,” said Rahul Singh, general manager, Thrifty Car Rental - UAE.
“Our numbers show an increase in hires of small to mid-size cars towards the end of 2009. We expect this trend to accelerate during 2010 for both individual and corporate hires of small to mid-size cars and have adapted our fleet mix accordingly.”
He added that the 2010 Dubai Shopping Festival was expected to kick-start the increase in rentals in the UAE with special offers being made available on smaller rentals.
Thrifty has one of the biggest networks in the UAE with more than 30 full-service outlets in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaima, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain.
