RESTAURANTS and night clubs within Abu Dhabi’s hotels will now be able to receive entertainment licences within 24 hours after Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) introduced its online initiative.
The move to online licence application replaces the previous manual system, which also involved other authorities and could take between two to six weeks to process.
“The on-line system, which can also process the necessary licence fee payments, is the result of 18 months of design, implementation and training,” said Nasser Al Reyami, director tourism standards, ADTA. “Its introduction is in line with our five-year strategy commitment to enhance sector standardisation and improve our stakeholder service.”
ADTA has held a series of workshops to train outlet managers on the system.
