TRAVELPORT, one of the leading GDS providers, confirmed that top Saudi based travel agency Fursan Travel has signed a major agreement for its Galileo GDS.

The new, multi-year contract will give all of the agency’s Galileo subscriber’s access to an array of travel solutions and training services, along with a full range of fares available through the booking platform.

'At Fursan Travel, we pride ourselves in offering exemplary, one-stop-shop travel services and solutions and recognise the value that Travelport can bring to our business through its technology, content and support,' said Roger Pfund, CEO of Fursan Travel.

'We believe the Galileo system is well equipped to handle our requirements and is well placed to support our vision and business goals,' he added.

According to Travelport, this is one of the most significant deals the company has secured since the start of its direct operations for travel agents in the Kingdom, underscoring the momentum it has built in the market and reinforcing the continued confidence the Kingdom’s largest travel agencies have in the renowned GDS provider’s products and services.

'Fursan’s decision to work with us on such a large scale is a testament to their belief in the exemplary service we can provide across their entire network,' said Rabih Saab, vice president, Travelport GDS, Middle East.

'We look forward to meeting the agency’s travel technology requirements in the Kingdom and providing the type of support that will fuel their continued growth,' he concluded.

Headquartered in Riyadh, Fursan Travel has been operating since 1980 and is renowned for both its professional customer service and extensive range of travel related services across corporate and leisure segments.
