SWISS-BELHOTE International has a strong foothold in the Middle East and Asia and continues to ever expand. At ATM Gavin Faull, president and chairman, Swiss-Belhotel International found that the travel market was “the ideal platform to unlock business potential within the Middle East and pan Arab Region”.
Edgar Solenthaler, vice president, operations and development, Middle East, Swiss-Belhotel International said, “We have closed deals for projects in Sharjah for a resort development, Dubai and Doha for city hotels due to open soon in this year and we are also now officially partnered for a project in Dead Sea, Jordan.”
Other properties recently acquired are Swiss-Belhotel Resort Masirah Island opening this month in Oman and Swiss-Belhotel Sana’a in Yemen which opens later in 2010. “There are many other leads in the pipeline which will help us to get stronger in the Middle East in no time,” he said.
Hence, the expansion of the Swiss-Belhotel International group serves as an active invitation to further leads for projects in the industry where the owners have hotels but are looking for a suitable hotel management company.
Swiss-Belhotel International has a philosophy of actively consulting the property owners and investors. An increasing number of owners wish to be informed on the day-to-day operations, yet this has tended to be discouraged by many international hotel management companies.
Within three years of operating in the Middle East, Swiss-Belhotel International has ventured into signing 10 hotels. The group started with a resort project in Saudi Arabia.
The group also entered into partnership with Oman Air recently. Oman Air flies from Muscat to more than 25 key cities across the Arabian Gulf, Middle East, Europe, Far East, the Indian subcontinent including 10 destinations in India and the domestic destinations of Salalah and Khasab.
