AlMasria Universal Airlines last month announced the delivery of its first new leased Airbus A320. This delivery will be followed by a further three aircraft over the next 12 months.
The airline entered the market as value based airline, offering special pricing for booking early or by phone or internet.
“Under the value focused approach, AlMasria will provide competitive pricing on its tickets, implement aggressive distribution policy, be consistent in product delivery, provide high customer service, and capture international flight connections,” said Hassan Aziz, AlMasria president and CEO.
“Our aim is to be one of the world’s leading value based airlines,” added Aziz. “And that could only be accomplished through an innovative business approach offering superb value for money and a safe, reliable operation.”
The airline plans to offer scheduled flights to about 20 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe, matched by fleet growth to 10 Airbus A320 passenger jets within five years of launching. All aircrafts will be in a standard two class configuration, seating 165 passengers.
