Rotana storms ahead with business hotel brand

ROTANA announced the opening of the first two Centro Hotels by Rotana in September 2009; Centro Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and Centro Barsha in Dubai.
Centro Yas Island, Abu Dhabi adjoins with Yas Island Rotana hotel, providing guests access to deluxe facilities and 259 rooms. It is centrally located within the southern district of Yas Island and few minutes away from the Formula 1 Race Track and The Links Golf Course.
As for Centro Barsha, Dubai the property is conveniently located close to the business districts of Media City and Internet City. The hotel features 246 rooms and is also in close proximity to the commercial areas of Sheikh Zayed road and the Dubai Financial Centre.
Conceived by Rotana and designed by LWD, Centro Hotels by offers business travel and accommodation for the budget conscious executive, an increasingly important market in the Middle East and the Centro Hotels by Rotana concept is specifically designed to cater to this rapidly expanding market.
Rotana also recently announced the expansion of its portfolio to 67 properties to open by 2012. This came as a result of new management agreements signed by the hotel management company for new properties across the region, including Cairo, Jordan, Oman, Iraq, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
 “Year after year, Rotana is gaining strength and positioning itself as a leader in the industry within the region. This is part of our strategic aim to have a property located in every key city in the Middle East and North Africa and this goal is being steadily achieved through careful long term planning and timely action,” said Selim El Zyr, president and CEO Rotana.
Rotana has already signed management contracts and some of these properties are now under construction or development. For the next four years, Rotana will open 10 hotels per year.
“The plan is right. The strategy is there. The execution and know-how are there. The objective is clear. Rotana is positive that as long as the company is able to manage growth in an efficient way, then there is the scope to take up further properties,” he said.
