AMY May - British singer and songwriter described as having ‘the energy of a child, laced with the bittersweet wisdom of maturity’ – will be providing the entertainment at this year’s MENA Travel Awards 2009.
Currently writing her next album, Amy May is taking time out to come to Dubai for this prestigious annual event, which will once again honour more than 54 winners from the Middle East & North Africa travel and hospitality industry.
The event will take place at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, on Thursday May 7, where more than 800 top industry figures will attend an awards gala dinner, the reception of which starts at 7.30 pm. The four course menu event will also include top entertainment at the Al Bustan Rotana Ballroom in Dubai.
The award ceremony celebrates the skills, creativity, ingenuity and triumph of the MENA hospitality industry. This, the sixth time it has been held, is again organised by Consultants of Hospitality Administrators (CHA-International).
“This is no self-congratulatory exercise, or ‘best advertiser’ award. It is a real opportunity to receive meaningful recognition from the region’s travellers, guests, and customers while being highly recognised by both regional and international travel, and the hospitality industries,” says the organiser’s website.
The judges were as ever, end users and travel trade professionals, who were required to particularly note the standards of the service and products they were evaluating. The final auditing of the awards voting system was carried out by the MENA Awards sponsoring auditors worldwide.
Finalists are entrants rated among the best in the industry, and winners are awarded platinum, gold or silver awards.
The CHA-International team will be at the Arabian Travel Market at the Dubai World Trade Center on the Dubai Stand UAE 250.
