Share

MOST visitors to Dubai have a desert safari on their ‘to do’ list, and Alpha Tours is one destination management company that offers this in luxury four-wheel drive vehicles.
Guests drive over sand dunes of varying colours and heights, pass natural oasis, camel farms and spectacular desert scenery, which culminating in an Arabian desert sunset.
Part of the tour takes in a Bedouin campsite, where guests sit in a traditional Arabian ambience on Persian rugs and cushions and feast on a three course Arabic barbeque, get to ride a camel, smoke aromatic Shisha (water pipe), sand surf or have a traditional henna motif painted on a body part. Arabian folk music and a belly dancer are also part of the entertainment.
Usually the trip lasts 5 hours, and pick ups are available from Dubai or Sharjah, from 3pm.
Established in 1995 by Ghassan Aridi, who has over 25 years of experience in destination management, Dubai based Alpha Tours has made an indelible mark on the travel and tourism sector.
