Tapas restaurant open at Ramada Plaza

THE Ramada Plaza Doha opened the doors to its newest restaurant Picasso’s last month.
Picasso’s, a Spanish Tapas bar, is located on the first floor of the east wing of the hotel. Tapas is the name given to a range of appetizers in Spanish, and these are served both hot and cold and should be enjoyed within a group of friends, family or colleagues along with drinks.
“The serving of Tapas is thought to encourage conversation because people are not so much focused on eating an entire meal,” said Robin Hawksworth, food an beverage manager at the hotel.
The restaurant is named after the famous artist, Pablo Picasso, the most famous of Andalusia’s sons. Picasso was well known for his love of art and the Spanish lifestyle. His paintings and abstract outlook on his own life was full of passion and colour, with influences from Africa and Spain. Like Tapas itself the name reflects colour, art, life and conversation.
The restaurant is open from 6 pm daily, serving an authentic range of Tapas. A wide selection of imported Spanish beverages and home made Sangria will also be on offer.
Ramada Plaza Doha is in the heart of Doha’s shopping and commercial districts and close to the airport. All 584 rooms and suites are modern and spacious with complimentary high speed internet/WIFI access. There is a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts and gym at The Cabana Leisure Club, and the hotel also offers sauna, steam and a range of massage treatments.
It also has meetings, events and hi-tech conference facilities for up to 600 people, and a fully equipped business centre.
