Art lovers home from home

A luxury boutique hotel designed for art lovers lies at Torba Bay near Bodrum.

Casa Dell’Arte (latin for house of art), offers a novel resort concept that merges sea and sun with Turkish art. Original paintings and sculptures are exhibited on the premises, including in the 12 individually decorated guest suites.
The hotel was created by connoisseurs and enthusiasts of art with the intention of making a stay there “an experience”.
“A painting by Hamit Gِrele or Fikret Mualla or Nuri ‹yem may be watching over you as you sleep, face you as you dine or a statuette may stand next to you as you sunbathe. With this concept, art becomes a part of your everyday life, diving into the depths of your soul, cleansing it almost like a detox programme,” says general manager Mehtap Uyguner.
Original paintings by renowned Turkish artists deck the walls throughout the hotel, which itself resembles an art museum.
All suite rooms offer LCD screen televisions, a satellite system, DVD, wireless internet connection, electronic safe, individually controlled air-conditioning, smoke detector, mini bar and selective daily care products.
The twelve signs of the zodiac are represented here, for each suite of the hotel bears the name of a different sign of the zodiac. The suites can be used for a holiday stay or as a summer home. The duplex or single storey units vary in size up to 140 square metres and have views of the sea, the pool or the gallery.
Casa Dell’ Arte has an a la carte restaurant serving Mediterranean-Aegean cuisine, a meetings room, fitness, sauna, steam bath and massage facilities plus an outdoor pool and garden jacuzzi with views of the sea. There is a private beach and pier, and guests have access to a private boat and schooner.
The hotel is five kilometres from Bodrum city centre and 30 kilometres to the international Milas Bodrum airport.
