THE Conrad London is marketing itself to the Middle East as the ideal property for seasoned Arab travellers, says a hotel executive.
“The Conrad London is ideally suited to meet the Arab travellers’ hotel requests,” Kathleen Curran, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing told TTN.
“With our location on the Chelsea Harbour, we’re a tranquil, relaxing base for someone who’s been to London before, and is looking for quiet in the midst of the city.”
It’s also great for someone hoping to meet popstar Robbie Williams, who lives in a building close by and often drops by to play the piano at the Aquasia bar.
The Conrad London is the only five-star all-suite hotel in the British capital, she says. Each of the property’s 160 suites has a spacious two-room layout and the hotel offers a a fair amount of interconnecting suites suitable for large families. Other advantages uniquely requested by guests from the Middle East are Arabic speaking staff, Arabic menus, high security and ample parking space, says Curran.
The Conrad offers six penthouse suites, 132 King bedded suites and 28 twin bedded suites, as well as two suites with facilities for the disabled. Among the standard in-room facilities are a safe to accommodate a laptop.
With a purpose-built two-level conference centre, the Conrad London offers 14 conference rooms and a selection of banqueting rooms, and is close to the events centres of Olympia and Earl’s Court. It has a fully equipped gym, heated indoor swimming pool with saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds and a massage and beauty room; and is close to golf courses, horseback riding facilities, a casino and tennis courts.
Situated on the harbour, the hotel will charter boats for guests or make available facilities for guests’ own.
The hotel has a wide variety of Christmas and New Year options, from traditional Christmas markets and parties to with bespoke Conrad Christmas stockings to private dining packages and a Moulin Rouge New Year’s do. Rates over the Christmas period begin at £179 ($342.5).
