Net gains ATM business
DUBAI-BASED Destination Management Company, Net Group, has been named the official Destination Management Company of Reed Travel Exhibitions for the Arabian Travel Market, 2007 and 2008.

The year 2007 will be the 14th consecutive year the group is partnering ATM. The agreement was signed at Cairo where the seventh edition of the Mediterranean Travel Fair.

Wild cards for IMEX
Emerging destinations with high hopes of breaking into the global meetings, incentive travel or conference market are now being invited to apply for a free Wild Card place at next year’s IMEX. To qualify, entries must be submitted by November 15.
The scheme allows underexposed destinations that have never previously exhibited at an international trade fair to compete for one of four free exhibition places at next year’s event, which runs April 17 to 19 at Messe Frankfurt.

AHIC targets 1000 delegates
NEXT year’s Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) will be held from April 28 to 30 at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. While the first event in 2005 quickly sold out its 525 delegate spaces, 2006’s AHIC’s increased allocation of 800 spaces went almost as quickly and this year organisers have again expanded the event, looking to reaching the 1,000 delegate mark. With some of the biggest names in global tourism already invited it is likely to sell out just as quickly, says organiser Jonathan Worsley.
